When You Start Paying for Traffic!

Understanding PPC can be a bit overwhelming for the newer affiliate marketer. What PPC stands for is PAY PER CLICK. Now, the better known company that sells or actually auctions off advertising is Google Adwords. There are others out there kids!!! Google is Great though if you know how to play ball.

Google Adwords is pretty easy to start using once you understand all the ins and outs of it.

I was unaware until last week during a Webinar of how many affiliates do not understand the whole PPC thing.

While I will not go in to great detail on it in this post, I will say that until you get a grasp of how it works you may want to stick with organic traffic when starting out and then once you start to get your feet wet and have a clear understanding of affiliate marketing then you can start with a PPC campaign. I go over this in my training tutorials on the advanced level.

When you are ready to start paying for click as well as “impressions” (which is a whole different enchilada by the way), there is a formula that you will want to always keep in mind.

PROFIT AND LOSS

One Way to simplify this is to look at what your EPC (earnings per click) is against your CPC (cost per click).

So…The Simple Equation?

EPC-CPC= PROFIT or LOSS

If your earnings per click get you $3.00 and your CPC is at $1.20
Your Profit would be $1.80 per click.

Now, If you pay more per click than you are earning per click….NOT GOOD!!!!

This is simple math but sadly many affiliates forget to look at it and lose when they could be earning huge amounts of the green stuff...

This formula is simplified beautifully through a CPA (Cost Per Action)company I recently started using.  I will talk more on them in a later post as well.

CPA networks are were the Super Affiliates like to hang out and rake in the cash from the hottest offers that are out there. You do have to be approved as an affiliate but once you are you get some VERY HOT INSIDER INFO on how to run successful PPC and PPI campaigns.

I hope this little tidbit was of value to you!
